So
you stuck your foot in your mouth again, or you blew it, or you made a mistake,
and somebody corrected you..
A Puppet God (Luke 4:18-28)
My
wife as a little child loved to visit her Grandmother’s. One of the special toys
she loved to play with was Teto, the marionette. You may remember him. A marionette is a puppet on strings. It was a special privilege to be allowed to
manipulate the puppet and make it dance, and twirl it around. By altering her
voice she could make it talk. Now Teto
is long gone, probably thrown in the trash with all the other broken toys.
Boldly Follow Your Dreams
Boldly follow the dream God has given you. God has said that he would give young men and young women dreams. This dream comes from Him – so boldly follow this dream.
A Prayer for our Children
May our children grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and all people.
Heavenly Father thank you for entrusting us with our children. For you created our children in your image. You knit them together in their mother’s womb, and they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your eyes saw their unformed bodies, and you laid out every moment of their lives before they were born. Thank you that these are plans to prosper them, and not to harm them, plans to give them a hope and a future.

Where is Jesus? (Luke 2:41-50)
Your child runs into the next aisle in the store, and you turn around and they are gone. You carefully put your house keys or car keys in a safe spot, and later cannot find them. You had sweet fellowship with Jesus, and then life happened. In the hustle and bustle of your life, has Jesus gotten lost? Do you find yourself asking “Where is Jesus? Where did he go”?
On being a servant of the Most High (Luke 1:26-56)
What a privilege it is to be a servant of the Most High, to have a dream or vision of what God wants to accomplish through you! What a privilege it is to be a servant of the living God, right here, right now, in the midst of your everyday, ordinary life experiences. You were not chosen because of your job, your skills, your financial status, your marital status or where you live.
Answered Prayer - (Luke 1:5-25, Luke 1:57-80)
God has heard your prayers. Don’t be afraid! Don’t worry! Not only has God heard your prayers, but God is going to answer them. He will answer them in his way and in his time, to accomplish his purposes. And when he does, it will be in a way that will bring joy and delight to you. Know this: the answer to your prayer is not just for you alone. God’s answer will cause many others to rejoice. God’s answer to your prayer will in some way reveal His glory and majesty to you and to others as well so that God can perform a miracle in their lives also.
