How Great is our God

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? It is God who sits enthroned above the earth. (Isa 40:21-22).

Take a look at the world around you – who created this universe? Look at the oceans – God can measure the ocean in his hands. Look at the mountains – God can weigh them in his scales. Look at the sky – between his thumb and little finger God can measure the heavens. Look at the stars – as each star comes out tonight, God is calling each one of them by name. He is so powerful and so mighty, that not one of them will be missing, tonight or any night.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. The Lord knows your name. He has not lost track of you. He knows what is happening in your life. He knows all the nitty, gritty details, and He has faced the same temptations you are facing right now. He will shepherd you through this day and through each tomorrow. He will gather you like a lamb in his arms, and carry you close to his heart. He will gently lead you. He loves you! Never forget that!
